Long wave IR radiation emitting display screen appts. (A) comprises a cover for supporting and encasing the internal components of the appts. and contains 1-30 wt.% long wave IR emitting material that is mixed with the cover material prior to the mfr. of the cover. Also claimed are: (i) (A) having a cover which is coated with a binder or a pigment; (ii) (A) contg. a long wave IR emitting lamp located towards the front of the cover; and (iii) (A) contg. a heating device for heating up the IR emitting material, a reflective layer for reflecting the IR radiation emitted from inside the appts. and a support means for the heating device and reflective layer.
