The subject of the present invention is an instrument of credit such as a bank cheque, provided with an appendix able to prevent its falsification after being issued. This is comprised of a printed form containing a cheque coupon, a stub, and an appendix. The appendix has a square, alongside a similar square provided on the cheque coupon, both of them being obliterated by the drawer at the moment of use of the appendix; a double numbered row of boxes for numbers and for letters, to be filled in with the numbers of the amount and the letters of the name of the beneficiary; a series of boxes to be filled in with an alphabetical code obtained by a unique correspondence of said numbers of the amount with said letters of the name of the beneficiary of the credit instrument; and a series of alphabetic squares to be obliterated indelibly at the letters of said code. The code identifies and corroborates said cheque coupon as signed by the drawer. IMAGE
