New model for a biological tank, of the rotating biological drum type, for the treatment of sewage or sludge, provided with the possibility of both multipurpose and combined use in any type of biological purification plant: 'Biocomplemento Tank'

The Biocomplemento is a new biological tank of the "rotating biological drum" type suitable for removing any organic pollution present in effluents in the dissolved or suspended states, as occurs in the most well-known purification systems. This is proposed as an alternative to other existing solutions for the treatment of sewage and sludge. It can solve biological, chemical and physical problems while ensuring savings. It has a compact and prefabricatable structure, of a rectangular shape with three compartments in series. The essential feature is the hollow metal drum which rotates in a controlled way about a fixed coaxial pipe. The use of support material for biomass in the drum is provided. The Biocomplemento can be used in existing plants to improve purification efficiency and/or level of safety, and in small works as an essential biological plant. Both the multipurpose and combined use thereof is possible in both cases. IMAGE
