The used water treatment system comprises an activated sludge purification system (1) with a tank (2) followed by a rack of planted filters of reeds and a supply unit, an agitation unit (8, 9) to carry out biological sludge and water mixture in the tank to form liquor, a surge tank, a water pumping device, and a control unit for activation and deactivation cycle of the agitation unit. The purification system is arranged to supply the filter alternatively into mixed liquor formed by biological sludge and water or supernatant water after decantation of the biological sludge.
