A syringe is described, having a coupling device which can be operatively connected, at the end of the piston's travel, to the hypodermic needle and to a mechanical or pneumatic actuator, preferably of vacuum type, in which said actuator is activated at the moment of use of the syringe itself and is able to automatically retract, after use, said needle into an appropriate chamber of the piston, rendering it nonreusable and avoiding dangerous accidental wounding.
