THE PRESENT INVENTION REFERS TO A CHEMICALLY MODIFIED ANTITYPE OLIGONUCLEOTIDE, WHICH IS USED TO INHIBIT THE TRANSACTIVATING SEQUENCE (TAR) AND THE SYNTHESIS OF TRANSACTIVATING PROTEINS (TAT) OF (HIV-I); IT IS USED AS A MEDICATION IN INFECTION THERAPY (HIV-I); IT PRESENTS ANTIVIRAL ACTIVITY AND IS APPROPRIATE AS GENE EMITTERS FOR THE DETECTION OF HIV.
