Method for manufacturing a part, in particular a carbon-carbon brake disc and part obtained. The method includes forming a porous substrate in the form of a brake disc (32) and made entirely of carbon fibers; forming in this substrate holes (34) whose axes are parallel to the axis of revolution (36) of the disc, these holes being arranged on concentric circles (38) centered on said axis of revolution, zones (42) devoid of holes being provided around the key grooves (40) of the disc, then densifying the substrate by CVD, the holes made in the substrate serving to reduce the paths of the gas in the substrate.
