METHOD FOR PREPARING FILLED SILICONE RUBBER PARTICLES

Cured silicone rubber powder containing largeamounts of particulate material formed by dispersing aliquid silicone rubber composition curable by aplatinum-catalyzed hydrosilation reaction into water. Thepresence of a low molecular weight, volatilepolydiorganosiloxane makes it possible to incorporate atleast 100 parts by weight of particulate material per 100parts of curable polydiorganosiloxane into thecomposition. The volatile polydiorganosiloxane is removedfrom the cured powder. Finely divided magnetic metals,electrically conductive materials and reinforcing silicapowders can be incorporated using the present method.
