- 1 -NARROW BANDWIDTH HIGH RESOLUTION FIBER OPTICCCD SCANNER/CAMERA FOR B&W/COLOR 3-D OR 2-D IMAGESABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA color CCD scanner is disclosed which comprisesa fiber optics based color separator that accomplishesseveral functions such as the finer detection of anyspecific narrow/broad spectral information within theinput image, cancellation of the chromatic aberrationsof the imaging lens , no astigmatism , higher scanningresolution, real time auto-focus for the highest MTF,ghost free images,sensible faster scanning time,remoteimage transmission and on-the-fly connection to outputimage printing equipment . Other innovative featuresof the said scanner are included in the illuminationsystem, dual displaying mode , input image cassettes,color filters , B&W or luminance option , CCD sensors,fibers spatial distribution , coherence conversion ofthe fiber bundles and CCDs assembling technology .
