Process for extracting essential oils from plants through cold maceration and cold deterpenating

Process for extracting essential oils in a substantially pure state from plants, through cold maceration of different plants in a solvent, whereby the essences are extracted, without prior grinding, concentrated and cold deterpenated, thus ensuring: a better stability of the resulting essential oils; a higher quality of the essential oils; increased cost-efficiency; whereafter the solvent is recovered through settling in a closed environment and the last traces of solvent being eliminated by evaporation. The separation of the terpenes (hydrogen carbides) from the essential oils by means of alcohol is also described, as well as the recovery of said terpenes. The separation of the essence-alcohol mixture through the action of a salt and the recovery of the solution used for separating the terpenes are further described.
