Blind for a triangular and trapezoidal surface, having a top head rail (1) and a central rail (2), which both delimit an essentially triangular blind region (4) when the blind has been lowered, it being possible to raise and lower the central rail (2), while pivoting, with respect to the head rail (1), about the point of the triangle which is common to the two rails (1, 2), by means of a first cord (7) guided through openings or loops on or in the blind. In order to simplify operation and to reduce the friction resistances, said blind is distinguished in that the fixed end of the first cord (7) is fastened on the head rail (1) or, after having been deflected on the head rail (1), on the central rail (2) in the vicinity of the point of the triangle common to the two rails (1, 2), and in that that end of the first cord (7) on which the drive movement acts is deflected on the central rail.
