Forward DC-DC converter with RCD snubber circuit

A forward DC-DC converter whose power switch is provided with a snubber circuit. In order automatically to match the snubber circuit to the respective load situation, the snubber circuit can be switched over with the aid of an electronic switch. A capacitor in the snubber circuit is in the limiting situation discharged entirely or only to the level of the input voltage, via a resistor, as a function of the output current.
