Incorporation of an encapsulating nucleating agent prepared from an encapsulating polymer and nucleating agent selected from linear low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene and polypropylene into a polyoxymethylene composition results in a reduction of the compressibility of the polyoxymethylene, The porosity decreases. This composition is particularly useful for extrusion into stock molded articles such as rods, slabs, sheets and tube stock for machined parts (e.g., artificial and composite gears), die cutting parts (e.g., washers and gaskets) .
