To fabricate acryl/wool worsted yarn by mixing sliver of acryl fiber partly containing thermal contractive acryl fibers and wool top sliver, 40 to 90 % by weight of the sliver of acryl fiber being 30 to 65 mm long is sliver mixed with 10 to 60 % by weight wool top sliver having average wool fiber length of 45 to 65 mm where 3 to 30 % by weight of thermal contractive acryl fibers are used against the total fibers. In a first draft process, the draft ratio of A/W mixed sliver is 8 and the interval between front and back rollers is slightly longer than the longest wool fiber length. In a second draft process, the draft ratio is 8 and the interval between front and back rollers is 35 to 70 mm as in a cotton spinning. In the mean time, the spinning is performed by siro spun method after the completion of first and second draft processes.
