The artemisia extract is prepd. by i) steam-distilling artemisia, ii) separating the distillate by condensing to obtain the upper layer(I) contg. essential oil(volatile component) and the lower layer contg. water-soluble component, iii) extracting the lower layer with organic solvent and concentrating the organic solvent layer to obtain the extract(II) contg. essential oil, iv) extracting non-volatile material of the steam-distilled residue with 50-60wt.% alc. to obtain non-volatile extract (III), and v) mixing (I), (II) and (III) to obtain the final product., The detergent compsn. contains 0.550% artemisia extract.
