The present invention relates to a method for producing a decorative gold film having a composite microstructure of gold / nitride, which is formed by ion plating using a gold alloy in the presence of a nitrogen or nitrogen-containing inert gas. The coating film produced according to the present invention not only has excellent abrasion resistance but also exhibits a reflection spectroscopic characteristic similar to that of pure gold coating.
