Alkali-lead-iron phosphate glasses and methods for their preparation

摘要

The glass composition and the glass manufacturing method use a mixture consisting of 40-40 mol% of phosphorus oxide, about 10-25 mol% of lead oxide, about 10-17 mol% of iron oxide and about 23-30 mol% of alkali oxide . The glass obtained by melting and solidifying the mixture has high durability and thermal expansion coefficient, such as one of several metals. This feature is highly desirable for glass-metal seal applications.
