The light processing device has many visual effects that simulate movement with light from a light source. A plurality of flexible optical fiber light guides having optically closed input and output stages are divided into groups, each group being assigned to produce a special effect. The input of each group of light guides is located in an adjacent receptor zone of the previously selected geometry and the output of each group of light guides is located on the effect surface in a previously selected pattern. The light from the light source is filtered by a color change having a plurality of independently movable colored filter regions formed to correlate with the receptor zone, received by the input end of the light guide, and distributed to the output end of the light guide. The color changer may be a rotatable color wheel filter, a band filter, or a cylinder filter.
