FIELD: thermomechanical treatment of welding joints of metal cord. SUBSTANCE: method includes electric heating up to 25 to 320 C cooling and followed compressing. Compressing involves several runs up to a total strain of 20 to 40 per cent. The device has drive stand with shaped rolls linked to each other kinematically. Calibrating passes are made on shaped rolls. The passes have starting flats the number of which is specified by the formula presented in the description.
