SUBSTANCE: essence of this method of correcting extremity bone defect resides in fixing distraction-compression members to ends of proximal and distal fractured fragments in Ilizarov's apparatus, carrying out osteotomy, distracting formed autotransplants toward one another with simultaneously advancing distal fragment towards periphery. EFFECT: acceleration of recovery of function of shortened defective extremity bone and lower rate of traumatism in tissues.
