FIELD: environmental control. SUBSTANCE: silicon-containing adsorbent for radioactive isotopes of metals and toxic heavy metals including silicon-containing minerals with particles sizing 0.001-0.5 mm in form of natural diatomaceous earth and, at least, two zeolite minerals with general formula of M_xO·Al₂O₃·YSiO₂·ZH₂O, where M is sodium, potassium or calcium, X=1-2, including both extreme values; Y=3 or 7 and Z=6 or &; treated with diluted acid, washed to neutral reaction, dried to constant weight at temperature up to 115 C and, then, subjected to thermal treatment at 150-350 C, preferably, at 250 C. In this case, the content of each of mineral component, irrespective of each other amounts, at least, to 0.1-99.8 mas.% of total weight of adsorbent. The pharmaceutic composition and forage for animals containing said adsorbent as active component are also the subject of the present invention. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 cl, 6 tbl
