FIELD: mass-spectrometry. SUBSTANCE: analyzer has two electrodes 1 and 2 whose effective profiles have at least one plane of symmetry. Effective profile of electrode 1 is formed by part of circumference and two straight lines intersecting at angle α = 2π/n, where n = 2,3,4 ...; center of circumference coincides with point of intersection of straight lines and lies on plane of symmetry of electrode system.
