FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: unit comprises centrifugal pumps with suction and discharge sleeves connected to them. The pumps are mounted on a floating pier inside a grooved fence. The discharge sleeves are joined together through pipelines with shutoff valves. A water table-maintenance device is attached to the sleeves. The device has the form of a flexible hose. Its free end lies below the water table beyond a sheet piling at a distance of under 1 m and is affixed to the pilling. The unit has a system for automatic water table control. The system is built up from a water table indicator, starters and three water-table detectors. The indicator accommodates three self-contained operation channels. The detectors are located in an areaway of the sheet piling in the lower and higher critical points. The detectors are connected to starters of centrifugal pumps and to audio indicator.
