Introduction of OR gates 5, NOR gate 6, and EXCLUSIVE NOR gate 7 and organization of relevant connections has enables almost three-fold simplification of circuit arrangement as compared to prototype. Less significant bit of input code with weight "1" is applied to input 8 in inverted form and remaining bits with weights "2", "4", and "8", to inputs 9-11 in direct form. Direct code with weights "1", "2", "4", and "5" is built up across outputs 12-15, respectively. EFFECT: simplified design of converter used in digital data processing systems. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
