FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: anode pack includes anode shell, metal gas collecting sections, appliances and devices for their displacement. There are stationary sections along with sections periodically turned by mechanism. Lower edge of turnable sections protrudes beyond cathode inner faces. Upper part of turnable sections is secured to shaft articulated to shell. Ratio of distance from shaft axis to anode and to horizontal face of cathode side to side-anode distance amounts, respectively, to 0.15-1.0 and 0.9-3.5.
