In the case of a sealing end for plastic-insulated high-voltage cables, a plug element of elastomeric material is pushed over the end of the cable and, with a sealing lip, embraces a supporting tube introduced into the housing of the end termination. A shaped part pushed over the sealing lip is braced with the end of the supporting tube.
