An oil bath comprises:- (a) 5-60wt.%, pref. at least 20wt.%, alkalithiocyanate, pref. Na thiocyanate as regenerating component, (b) 75-5wt.% pref. at least 10wt.%, oil component; (c) 0-15 wt.% surfactant; (d) 5-15wt.% skin protecting agent and (e) 65-15wt.% water. The oil component comprises one or more polyol fatty acid ester having an OH value of 80-180. The alkyl or alkylene gp. of the fatty acid contains 6-26C.
