The relay has housing with a multipole switching unit (2) with a number of normally open contacts (3) and a normally closed (4) contact. Between on (5) and off (6) pushbutton actuators is an auxiliary switch (7). This has two levers (8, 9) pivot mounted on the same axis (10). Switch contacts are formed (12, 13) with each lever. When the ON pushbutton is operated the auxiliary contact on one side (12) is opened before the main relay operates. A similar action occurs when the OFF push button is operated, with the other auxiliary contact (13) opening first. USE/ADVANTAGE - For use in electrical braking circuit of electric drive. Auxiliary contacts prevent short circuit in load circuit during switching.
