A dental implant having a balloon (1) which can be inserted, in particular, in tooth sockets, jaw cavities or artificially created bone cavities (3a), can be filled via a closable filling opening (1a) with gas, liquid and/or solid filler materials, can be attached to the jaw or tooth in the region of its filling opening (1a) and is provided with an outer layer (2) which can grow on in the bone cavity (3a) to be filled. In one design of the implant, the balloon is filled with elastic solid particles and with a displaceable element which protrudes into the interior of the balloon and anchors the dentigerous suprastructures so that when the outer layer (2) of the balloon (1) has grown firm and the gas remaining inside the balloon has been evacuated, pulling and compressive forces are transmitted from the dentigerous suprastructure to the bony substance (3) of the bone cavity (3a) which has been filled.
