The invention relates to processes for increasing the impermeability and the strength of concrete surfaces, which are characterised in that a film of a water-free mixture of cement, superfluidiser, silica gel and optionally a further solvent is applied to the concrete shuttering (formwork) so that in the concreting process the concrete layer close to the shuttering mixes intimately with the film material, which results in the formation of high-strength and high-impermeability coating concrete on the concrete surface.
