Device for the administration of NO to spontaneously breathing patients with pulmonary disorders

A device for the administration of NO to spontaneously breathing patients possesses a gas reservoir (2) with 100% pure medical oxygen and a gas reservoir (1) with 2-20 of NO in N2 or He. The gas reservoirs are connected via pressure reduction means (3, 4) and flow meters (5, 6) to a common withdrawal line (13) leading to the patient (18). The gas reservoirs are designed as portable therapeutic unit and they comprise pressurised containers with fixed double fittings. Larger devices are provided with solenoid valves (9, 10) in the connection lines (7, 8) leading to the common withdrawal line and an O2 analyser (15) in the common withdrawal line, which are connected via a control panel (20).
