The object of the invention is to improve heat extraction (cooling) technology in accordance with the Patent Application having the file reference P 4307061.2. As a result of the fact that the room temperature therein is proportional to the outside temperature, the invention makes possible real room air-conditioning, at least in accordance with the R12 climatic model in DIN 50019 Part 3. The improvement is achieved in that the inlet air flow is passed to the outer heat exchanger through a cold storage zone in the form of a highly porous rock (aggregate) which is subject to continuous ventilation and in consequence absorbs cold energy into itself, for example during the night time. During hot periods, the air which flows through is cooled down to such an extent that the reverse flow temperature from the outer heat exchanger allows room air-conditioning in accordance with the climatic model mentiond above. The installation of a continuous-flow heater into the inlet line to the inner heat exchanger prevents the temperature falling below the limit field defined in the climatic model. The capability to supply fresh air into the internal air circulation improves the room air-conditioning. As a result of the invention, investment and operating costs can be saved to a considerable extent in the air conditioning of, for example, technically high-quality facilities and, furthermore, environmental pollution is prevented. Devices of this type are unknown and, with room air-conditioning in the temperature range around 25 DEG C, it is not possible to dispense with artificially produced cooling energy in the case of known air-conditioning systems.
