A ball-type constant-velocity joint comprising an outer part and an inner part and torque-transmitting balls held in a cage has a cage in which the centres of curvature (M1, M2) of the outer spherical surface (13, 43) and of the inner spherical surface (14, 44) of the ball cage (4, 34) are offset axially relative to a cage centre plane (E) defined by the circumferentially extending centre lines (Lm) of the cage apertures (12, 42), the centre of curvature (M1) of the outer spherical surface (13, 43) being located towards the opening (8, 38) in the outer part (2, 32) of the joint, and the centre of curvature (M2) of the inner spherical surface (14, 44) being located towards that side of the outer part (2, 32) of the joint which lies axially opposite to the opening (38), and the inner opening (15, 45) of the ball cage (4, 34), the said opening being located towards the opening (8, 38) of the outer part (2, 32) of the joint and being larger in diameter than the greatest outside diameter of the surface (19, 49) of the inner part (3, 43) of the joint.
