A smoke gas scrubber incorporates a filter (101) and a washer (103). The novelty is that all scrubber components (101 to 106) are assembled to form a single aggregate unit with horizontal gas flow in the same direction. A cooler and sulphuric acid condenser (102) for raw gas is incorporated between the filter (101) and washer (103).
