Dyeing auxiliary agent composition and dyeing process.

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition, containing an alpha-hydroxysulfonate type surfactant and organic polybasic acid type polymer compound at a specific value or above of pH thereof and capable of providing level dyed materials with good reproducibility in dyeing using a reactive dye. CONSTITUTION:A level dyeing agent for a reactive dye at pH =9, containing either of alpha-hydroxysulfonate type anionic surfactants expressed by formula I (R is 6-18C aliphatic hydrocarbon, 7-18C alkylphenyl or phenyl; n is 1-3; M is ammonium, alkanolamine, alkali metal, etc.) and formula II (m is 6-15; M is ammonium, alkanolamine, alkali metal, etc.) and an organic polybasic acid type polymer compound is added to a dye bath in 1-3g/L concentration to carry out dyeing at 40-80 deg.C. Required amounts of an inorganic salt and alkaline agent can be collectively added by addition of the above-mentioned assistant to provide homogeneous dyed materials with excellent reproducibility. The dyeing step can be also rationalized.
