Process for effecting a surveillance round of a nuclear site (5) consisting in recording in a central computer (22) connected to a radio frequency transmitter/receiver (24) a chain sequence of different reading points (12) assembling the sensors (10) constituting the round to be performed. This chain sequence is copied again into a memory of a portable microcomputer (26) carried by the patrolman on the round and connected to a radio frequency transmitter/receiver (28). Each reading point (12) is validated and this validation is transmitted to the central computer (22). The sensors are checked and any anomaly is reported to the central computer (22). All the checks performed are recorded in the portable microcomputer (26) and copied again at the end of the round into the central computer (22) so as to be processed. IMAGE
