The handle is used for carrying the vacuum cleaner or steam cleaner and for supporting the electric lead cable and the suction hose, when the cleaner is not in use. Pref. the handle can be pivoted through an angle of 180 degrees relative to the housing of the cleaner, to bring it into the operative position. The handle may also be height adjustable. Pref. the lead cable and the suction hose are supported so that the top surface of the cleaner housing remains free.
