The system comprises a water feed line (16) connected to a generator (18) which produces the dialysis liquid and a disinfectant composition, an ultra-filtration control assembly, and a dialyser (1) with two compartments separated by a semi-permeable membrane. The patient's blood is fed into the first compartment and the dialysing liquid into the second.The system incorporates a branch line (20), fed with a disinfectant liquid compound from the generator, and connectors (8, 23, 24, 22, 12) which link the blood and dialysate circuits in a single continuous circuit. One end of this is connected to the branch line, and the other (10) to a waste outlet line (25).A supporting clamp (2) for the dialyser is retained in position by a lock until the decontamination of the dialyser is completed.
