The present invention relates to a process for continuous analysis of volatile organic compounds contained in an atmosphere to be analyzed, as well as a module for preconcentration of these compounds and a chromatograph comprising such a module. According to the invention, the preconcentration module comprises in particular a trap (15) consisting of a metal tube (16) vitrified internally and adapted to contain a solid adsorbent (35), a six-way valve (12), means for injection (30a) and detection (30b) and a chromatographic column (13). Advantageously, the valve 12 allows in a sampling phase to pass the atmosphere to be analyzed into the trap, while, completely independently a carrier gas (GV) circulates in the column, and in an analysis phase to sweep the trap and the column in series with the same carrier gas. The device according to the invention is thus adapted to carry out automatic and continuous analyzes of free or confined atmospheres.
