The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition which comprises, as active principle, a compound capable of modifying the interaction between, on the one hand a CD26 type receptor present at the surface of cells of a patient infected with an HIV type human retrovirus, especially of the HIV-1 or HIV-2 type, and on the other hand the envelope glycoproteins of this HIV retrovirus.
