The device for converting the wavelength of laser radiation by stimulated Raman effect, including a raman medium, two reflecting surfaces arranged on either side of this raman medium and two converging lenses having a common focal plane and each arranged between the raman medium and one of the reflecting surfaces, the radiation being intended to enter and leave this device perpendicularly to the focal plane, this device being characterised in that at least one of the reflecting surfaces is formed by two perpendicular rear faces of a right-angled prism which furthermore includes a front face oriented towards the raman medium, these rear faces converging to a rear edge having a non-zero inclination epsilon , with respect to the focal plane, less than epsilon max = arctan (h/L) with h: height of the prisms L: distance between the edges of the prisms.
