The present invention relates to a profiled section (10) intended in particular for fastening panels of a material having excellent acoustic absorption properties, based in particular on wood, for producing a noise-reduction wall, the said profiled section being of the type comprising a central web (1) and two loops (2, 3), mutually complementary and each arranged along a longitudinal edge of the said profiled section. The said profiled section is characterised in that it has two mutually parallel free branches (4, 5), each terminated by one of the said two loops (2, 3), and two flats (6, 7), each connecting the central web (1) and one free branch (4, 5), the said two flats also being mutually parallel and the said two loops (2, 3) being situated in the plane (8) parallel to the flats and passing through the middle (9) of the web (1), so that the profiled section (10) is geometrically defined by two trapezia which are symmetrical with respect to the middle of the web.
