Process for the recycling of polyethylene-based elastomer material waste, or of copolymers of ethylene and another olefinic monomer, crosslinked with silane, for the production of regenerated elastomeric materials, in particular for the sheathing of electrical cables. BR/ is added to the waste before hot mixing for reuse of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide or a polydicyclohexylcarbodiimide, in a weight ratio of 0.5% to 5%, based on the weight of the elastomeric material.
