Process for recycling scrap elastomeric materials based on polyethylene or on copolymers of ethylene and of another olefinic monomer, which are crosslinked by silane, with a view to the manufacture of regenerated elastomeric materials, especially for sheathing electrical cables. Dicyclohexylcarbodiimide or a polydicyclohexylcarbodiimide, in a weight proportion of 0.5 % to 5 % relative to the weight of the elastomeric material, is added to the scrap before it is kneaded with heating for reuse.
