Charge-transfer complexes of formula IPP(A.sup. . crclbar.).sub.n B.sup.n⊕ (I)PPwhereinP Pa) n is 1 or 2,PPb) A is the radical anion of a compound of formula II or of a mixture of compounds of formula II ##STR1## wherein the substituents R are the same and are H or C.sub.1 -C. sub.4 alkyl, or adjacent substituents R together form --(CH.sub.2).sub.3 - - or --(CH.sub.2).sub.4 --;PPR.sub.1 is H or C.sub.1 -C. sub.4 alkyl;PPX.sub.1 is ═N--CN;PP and X.sub.2, X.sub.3 and X.sub.4 are ═O or ═N--CN, andP Pc) when n=1, B is the monovalent radical cation and when n=2, B is the divalent radical cation of an N-aromatic compound having a total of from 1 to 5 aromatic rings that are unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or by C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, at least one ring containing at least one group --NR.sub.2 -- or [═N.sup.+ R. sub.2 --] I.sup.- wherein R.sub.2 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or benzyl. PPThe complexes are electrical conductors with which plastics materials may be antistatically treated or converted into electrical conductors.
