PURPOSE: To enable a passenger passing one area out of plural areas through a ticket collecting/examining part to pass another railroad line yard in the same station yard shared by plural railroad lines by writing information specifying that the passenger is a passing customer on a medium owned by the customer. ;CONSTITUTION: A magnetic head 26 writes information specifying a passing customer on a medium Z owned by the passenger when necessary. When a passenger passing one area out of two or more areas through a ticket collecting/ examining part charges a medium Z to a medium charging port 12 arranged on a pass gate D at the time of moving from an A railroad line side area to a B railroad line side area e.g. through the pass gate D, a CPU 20 on the pass gate D side judges YES based upon an output from a ticket charging port sensor 21. Then the CPU 20 judges whether the charged medium Z is a connection ticket capable of connecting the A and B railroads lines or not, and at the time of judging YES, discharges a connection ticket to a medium ejection port 13 and opens a gate 15 to allow the user to pass.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
