BRANCHING OPTICAL LINE NETWORK AND FIBER MATCHING DEVICE FOR CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To perform the fiber matching of the downstream side optical fibers of a branching optical line network by providing optical band pass filters for passing through wavelength light for communication and the wavelength light for maintenance intrinsic to branched respective optical fibers and interrupting all the wavelength light for the maintenance intrinsic to the other branched respective optical fibers in the plural downstream side optical fibers. ;CONSTITUTION: An optical branching element 3 is a wavelength in dependent optical branching element for distributing optical signals made incident from an upstream side to the different optical fibers on the downstream side by an approximately fixed ratio without depending on the wavelength and the plural downstream side optical fibers 2-1, 2-2,..., 2-n are respectively provided with optical band pass filters 4-1, 4-2,..., 4-n for passing through the wavelength light for the communication and the wavelength light for the maintenance intrinsic to the branched respective optical fibers and interrupting all the wavelength light for the maintenance intrinsic to the other branched respective optical fibers.
