PURPOSE: To output a musical sound like a musical instrument does according to a desired timbre (musical instrument kind) and pitch information. ;CONSTITUTION: This electronic musical instrument is equipped with plural sound generation channels 1-16 for outputting a musical sound, indication parts 20-22 which indicate musical performance information (timbre, pitch, and sounding timing), a sounding source decision part 51 which decides a sounding source judging from the inputted musical performance information and outputs an indication, and a sounding control part 50; and the sounding control part 50 selects a sounding channel according to the decided sounding source and musical performance information and indicates the sounding of the selected musical sound to select and output a sounding control state of a sound generation channel like the musical instrument and a musical sound like the musical sound which are different by timbres (musical instrument kinds) according to musical performances.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
