PURPOSE: To obtain a freely stretchable clotheshorse wherein the inner cylindrical member fitted in the outer cylindrical member of the clotheshorse fixed to a balcony fence so as to be inserted in and extracted from the outer cylindrical member is raised and lowered by a lift mechanism. ;CONSTITUTION: A clotheshorse device is equipped with a pair of a clothes-drying supports 3 each consisting of the outer cylindrical member 4 fitted to a balcony fence 1 and the inner cylindrical member 5 fitted in the outer cylindrical member 4 so as to be inserted therein and extracted therefrom and provided with a wash-line pole holding arm 6 holding each of the end parts of a wash-line pole. A housing 7 housing an inner cylindrical member lift mechanism is attached to the upper end part of the outer cylindrical member 4 of each of the clothes- drying supports 3 and the inner cylindrical member mechanism is constituted of a reel taking-up means taking up the wire attached to the lower end of the inner cylindrical member and unwinding the same, the drive means driving the reel taking-up means and a synchronous drive means synchronously driving the reel taking-up means of the inner cylindrical member lift mechanisms of both clothes-drying supports.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
