PURPOSE: To provide the method for constructing precast concrete retaining wall, which can shorten the construction period, facilitate the constructing work and reduce the cost and which can effectively the draining of perform the back land. ;CONSTITUTION: A notch part 16 is formed in the lower end of a block body formed of a wall plate part 2 and plural leg parts 3, which are integrally formed with the wall plate part 2 so as to cross the wall plate part 2 in the lower surface of the wall plate part 2. Even in the case where the concrete 13 of a bottom plate part 14 is placed to the upper end of the leg parts 3, communication ports for communicating the back surface side and the front surface side of the wall plate part 2 are formed between the top surface of the bottom plate part 14 and the lower end of the wall plate part 2, and these communication port function as drain ports 15.
